Hello world!

I think I have to start with the very first statement of internet/blogosphere since I have been away for ages! There is no word left! I know. It’s been almost –hmm almost!- two years! What can I say?!

I have been away however never stop the action! And now really back! Literaly! Promise! Zavet! In which language ever it can be said!

It will be a bit shocking with loads of photographs but I MUST prove the action was on! What have I been doing?


First of all baking of course!

And baking more! 
Also never stopped cooking. Learnt to cook traditional dishes such as “etli sarma / minced beef rolled in leaves”, and “etli dolma / minced beef stuffed zucchini”…
Made a “very” traditional dish called “Arnavut ciğeri (which means Albenian liver in words but has no relation to Albenians in fact) / fried liver”
Hooked on flying… For what? Of course to travel! I traveled to south and south east parts of Turkey for the very first time in last two years! Where to?
Adana for example! I had no idea the river Seyhan is dying Adana into such a green!
The more you travel the more you see. I saw copper cauldron makers first time in my life in Adana!
And ate delicious meat dishes of Adana. Adana Kebab is the most famous one but I was open to try something new, such as “külbasti”!
The first city I saw in the south east was Gaziantep (a.k.a Antep)! With beautiful old bazaars…
Mouth watering local dishes (This one is called “anali kizli” which means “with mom and daughter” as it has big and smaller minced beef stuffed bulgur balls)…
And saw an archeologist on work for the first time in one of the biggest mosaic museums of the world in Gaziantep!
Had time to visit Halfeti, the villiage which is mostly lost under the river Firat, in Şanliurfa (a.k.a Urfa) next to Gaziantep.
And ate a river fish called “şabut / shaboot” for the first time, there in Halfeti.
Meanwhile I felt in love with a small city (at the Aegean coast of Turkey) called Eski Foca, as know as Phokaia in ancient name, and travled to there a million time!
I even saw the first local market of international Earth Market organization from Turkey, in Eski Foça.
I finally went to get my diploma of sociology major which I graduated in 2005 from Faculty of Letters of Istanbul University this year! And decided to turn back to school to finish my master’s thesis!
But… The most important of them all I gave birth to this (sorry, Ege!):
And he turned into “something” like that in 18 months time!!!
I know this is way too much with loads of pictures, clues of new posts, and overdose information! I will let you know about all and more of them very soon! This is just a “final” restart of my English blogging adventure. If I stop and pause that much long again, shoot me please!
